The 7th Tennessee Cavalry (CSA), Company D is a non-profit, mounted living history organization whose purpose is to educate its members and the public about the Civil War cavalry. Each member provides his own horse and equipment under the guidelines of the rules and regulations (Some items may be available for loan). Although we will portray a Federal unit when necessary, the responsibility to accurately represent a Confederate cavalryman is paramount to this organization. Safety is always the primary consideration of members. We believe that to effectively demonstrate the tactics and maneuvers utilized by the cavalry that sufficient numbers are essential and unity of purpose is the key. Always in the mind of each member is to set a proper example for others. |
